My passion for health and wellness began as a nursing career in hospitals, listening to individual’s issues, assessing vital signs, following medical protocols and teaching how to recover from illness and injury. My interests have evolved to promoting wellness through optimal health practices (nutrition, movement, rest, meditation and more) in hopes of avoiding disease and chronic illness.

More About Katy
After profound healing of her own personal life traumas, Katy completed The Four Winds Energy Medicine Certification, and is currently studying in their Masters’ Circle. The transformation she has witnessed in herself and others has made her more compassionate, empathetic, and driven to empower others to find their own inner wisdom to heal themselves from trauma, mental health issues and self-defeating behaviors of addictions.
Since its inception in 2013, Katy has been on the Board of Directors of Community in Crisis, a grassroot non-profit organization created after 3 local high school graduates died from overdose. The CiC mission is to “lead and unite communities to reduce the incidence and consequences of the misuse of substances through education, prevention and holistic support in an environment free of stigma.” Katy’s focus has been on education, especially of the aging population, on proper use of prescription medication, its disposal and alternative measures of pain management.
In her free time, Katy enjoys jogging with her dog, Kya, hiking, biking and taking hot yoga classes. She is an avid reader, and especially enjoys research. She feels immense joy bringing chair yoga to adults recovering from cancer and chronic conditions. Finally, her favorite pastime is spending time with her grandson!
